Provide exemplary District Library Center services to the Capital Area Library District.
Action 1.1.a. Library users will have efficient delivery of ILL service. By the end of 2008, library staff will know that efficiency of ILL is increased aiming for an average cost of each ILL to be within 15%+/- the national average.
Action 1.1.b. Library users will use 5% more items from the district library center collection each year.
Action 1.1.c. Library users will have quick access to items from ILL or any CALD library through delivery services that aim for items between libraries at 2-4 days from request to ready for pickup.
Action 1.1.d. Library users throughout the district will have basic fast fact reference service at each library location, remotely, and through the district library center reference area.
Action 1.1.e. Provide and evaluate Electronic Resources with remote access to library patrons that are used by at least 75% of district libraries at least 50,000/times year.
Action 1.1.f. Library leadership, staff, and Friends in CALD will have ready access to an available library consultant, services and materials needed to assist them with library projects like planning, research, and current professional topics.
Action 1.1.g. Continue to meet or exceed the standards and provide the necessary services required of district library centers and outlined in the district agreement.
