Literacy Behind Bars: Inside the World of Texas Prison Librarians

Meet librarians working for the Windham School District (WSD), which operates in partnership with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. Learn about their unique role within the prison and characteristics of the patrons they serve. Leave with ideas for partnerships between public libraries and prison libraries, and public library services that can support WSD patrons upon their release. CE CREDIT Attendance at the LIVE program qualifies for 1 hour of Texas State Library Continuing Education credit. Printed certificates will not be issued. A follow-up email will be sent 2 days after the event to individuals who attended the live Webinar. Attendees are advised to save and/or print the follow-up email as it will serve as proof of attendance for CE purposes.
