On behalf of the co-chairs of the “Connecting the Community in the Heart of Hummelstown” committee, I invite all of you to join us for the Capital Campaign Kickoff of the new Hummelstown Library.

The kick-off is scheduled for Sunday, September 9 at 3:00 PM.  The event will be held on site of the new library location at Second and Railroad Streets in Hummelstown.  It will include fun, updates on the project, and refreshments!

PaLA Early Learning Forum and Best Practices Awards Luncheon

The Best Practices Award winners will be acknowledged at PaLA’s Early Learning Forum and Best Practices Awards Luncheon on April 2, 2008 at the Hilton Harrisburg.

Attendees of this luncheon will have an opportunity to learn from and meet Katherine Ayres, author of “Up, Down, and Around,” the 2008 One Book, Every Young Child selection.
 
All Best Practices Award winners will receive their awards from Katherine Ayres, and their stories will be part of the Best Practices in Early Learning booklet distributed that day and shared with elected officials and policy-makers.

The deadline for all PaLA Conference Scholarships have been extended to August 31, 2007.

PaLA offers first time conference attendees, who are involved in Youth Services, the opportunity to apply for the Boyds Mills Conference Scholarship. Please visit the following link to view this form: Boyds Mill
