The Southwest Chapter of the Pennsylvania Library Association will be holding its spring workshop on Friday, May 16, 2008 at the University of Pittsburgh in Greensburg.

The workshop will focus on Collection Development. The speakers will talk on topics such as collection assessment, weeding, discarding old materials, selecting children’s materials, incorporating e-books, e-audio, and e-video into your collection, repairing books, storing and displaying multimedia items, copyright and fair use in the digital age and how and when to accept donations of local and historical interest and how to handle and preserve them.
