Library Director: New Cumberland Public Library

Location: New Cumberland 17070

Position: Library Director

Responsibilities: Recruitment, leadership, and development of staff and volunteers. Working knowledge of library administration, reference resources, emerging library service issues, and technology applications. Oversight of all aspects of building and grounds maintenance. Proficiency with budget preparation and maintenance, grant writing, and other forms of fundraising. Excellence in oral and written communication skills. Collection development and maintenance. Ability and desire to provide ideas for innovative, quality programs for all ages in conjunction with Friends of the Library. Maintenance of positive relationships with staff; Board of Trustees; Friends of the Library; borough government; county, district, and state library representatives; community leaders; volunteers; and patrons.

Requirements: ALA-accredited MLS with three years supervisory experience. Candidates must demonstrate excellent leadership and communication skills and be proficient on PC with automated library system software.
