More eventsCleve J. Fredricksen Library is presenting a district workshop on Business Continuity. The Business Continuity Planning Course walks the audience through the steps to help your organization lower its risk from all hazards events. From leaky water pipes to severe weather to terrorism– they all have an impact. This very interactive session focuses on preparedness and teamwork. It will help you measure and enhance your current plans and raises your awareness to the “what ifs”. Together, we’ll look at the challenges and identify the solutions. Originally designed at the University of Pittsburgh, now presented through a grant by the HACC Public Safety Center. This course will count for 3 hours continuing education credit.
The presenter is Patrick T. Shull, the Director of Safety, Security and Risk Assessment of the Harristown Development Corp will present and lead the workshop. He is a retired US Air Force Special Operations Security Forces and served as Security Advisor to the Commander, USAF Special Ops during the Gulf War for anti-terrorism. He has been an adjunct/coordinator for HACC Public Safety Center since 1998 and a HACC Advisory Board Member. He served as Chairman for the Oliver Township Planning Commission and as Emergency Management Coordinator for Oliver Township.
When: Friday, May 8 from 9a.m. to noon (come a few minutes early to network with colleagues and enjoy simple breakfast refreshments)

Who should attend: Staff with responsibility for emergency planning for operations, facilities, and personnel. It is suggested that two people from each interested location attend.
