Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) Grant Writing Workshop for the 2010 NETShare Grant Program

The Office of Commonwealth Libraries will sponsor a workshop to assist with the LSTA 2010 grant applications. The grants will aid libraries in networking, resource sharing, services to special groups of people, digitization and specified grants for K-12 schools. Guidelines to the applications will soon be available on the Pennsylvania Department of Education’s website. Go to view.asp?a=5&Q=40316. The applications themselves will soon become available on the PDE eGrant system.

Gain valuable information about:

♦The importance of collaboration between the librarians and other professionals when
planning a proposal.

♦Ways to strengthen portions of the applications.

♦Documents that need to be sent via USPS.

♦The eGrant system.

Who should attend?

♦Librarians from state aided public libraries

♦Certified school librarians

♦Academic librarians from accredited institutions

♦Library consortium directors

♦Librarians from special libraries with organized collections

The workshop is on Thursday, June 18, 2009 at:

Registration begins at 9:00 AM; program to begin at 9:30 AM and finish by 4:00 PM. Morning refreshments and lunch will be provided. The workshop is free, but registration is required. A webinar abbreviated version of the workshop will be offered in July. Details to follow.
